This 911 has been modified. One of those mods is of course straight pipes.

I think you'll notice that they are either rear-, or mid-engined. They don't sound raspy because they have short exhausts.

That's not straight piped. There's still a cat and/or a resonator in there, otherwise it would sound different.

I personally don't like raspy engines (hence why I don't really like the E46 M3) and much prefer a smoother sound.
